My Very Special Summer

Every summer I make it a point to go somewhere to enjoy the nature, air, beaches as a treat to myself for working eight hours a day, Monday to Friday, non-stop. An out of town trip to a beach is what I describe for summer, thinking and doing nothing but to enjoy sleeping, swimming, eating and drinking.
====================================================================================

2005 – I went to Cebu and Bohol. This trip is very memorable. I called this trip as “My Escape.” Cebu City is the main center of commerce, trade, and education. This is also the first province that was influenced by the Spaniards. In Bohol, we stayed at Alona Beach, hmmm I actually forgot the resort’s name c”,) Bohol is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Philippines. One can enjoy the beaches, caves, coral reefs, chocolate hills, dolphin watching, tarsiers, etc.

2006 – My first time in rainy Boracay with my boyfriend, now my husband. – After the “together again” episode, we decided to join my work friends on this trip. What we enjoyed most??? Not the beach but Lobsters and Crabs!!!!

2007 – I went to Australia during summer for a business trip. The story was, I resigned from this multinational oil firm then transferred to this software company who then sent me to Sydney to learn the job. Well, who says I cannot mix business and pleasure? Huh! More pix here.

Three months in Sydney was not enough, the season I experienced were autumn and winter (no snow) It was not my so called real summer.

When I returned, I went to Pearl Farm, Davao with my friends. Had child-like fun visiting Crocodile Farm and had gluttonous “Bulachong.”

2008 – My Anawangin and Baguio-Sagada adventure.

Anawangin: I have once had a good friend, a mountaineer-photographer who introduced this place to us. For the mountaineers, Anawangin is their home, untouched, unseen by people, a secret haven. Their meeting place to enjoy the serenity and beauty of nature. Then, the friend shared this place to the real world, showed the unknown beauty of the place. People had now access. It takes one click, then, people would know how to get there. Ask a group of friends where would they go in Zambales, and they will answer – Anawangin.

Banaue-Bontoc-Sagada: I joined to this mountaineering group for a couple of months. The group introduced me to Sagada. Two words to describe Sagada– Tranquil and Adventure. see more pics here

Baguio: A lazy day decision of going to Baguio with my work colleagues. My trip-on-a-budget. Experienced taking a shower with cold water, shopped on sale items at Manor, bar-hopped..more pics here

2009: MY VERY SPECIAL SUMMER

I have nothing more to ask for having a healthy and handsome Luis Alphonse.

No beach, no fun in the sun, no long ride, no spa, and a lot of no no’s. Pregnancy really is a big sacrifice but in the end, nothing is comparable to the joy and happiness of having a baby.
